The ‘Thrill’ Is Gone

I have the distinct desire to smack that smile off his face.

Dear Phil,

You ignorant slut. Congrats on pissing away an amazing opportunity to play in Toronto. The Bruins organization were nothing but supportive and did whatever they could to help you grow as a player. But instead, you decide that you can’t take playing in Boston and would rather start all over again on a team in a bigger market, that won’t be making it into the playoffs or hoisting up Lord Stanley’s beer stein anytime soon(sorry, Curl). Maybe I’m bitter or simple minded(I did go to public school & Pine Mattress College), but I don’t understand how you can tell someone to piss off when they’re offering you an amazing opportunity?

Are you still bitter that Julien had you ride the pine during the ’08 playoffs? Are you upset that Krejci, Wheeler, Hunwick & Bitz are the new young studs on the block and willing to do whatever to win? It sure as hell wasn’t the cash – Lord knows they offered you enough. Did Charlie Jacobs refuse to pay you  in Sour Patch Kids or were they going to force you to eat breakfast? It is the most important meal of the day….

I don’t get it. Since Friday night when the trade was announced, I’ve been trying to figure out what you would want to leave. Yeah, Boston is tough and it’s harsh and the people kind of suck and the media are pains in the ass – but in the grand scheme of things, it could be worse. Instead you’re going to Toronto where hockey is life and they’re going to expect you to earn that pay check. Who knows, maybe a change of scenery is exactly what he needs? Maybe that’ll help you mature or at least use that thing that’s three feet from your ass.

Good luck, bro – you’re gonna need it.

Dear Byron Bitz,
I’ll buy you a beer if you level Kessel on Dec 5th.

“You ignorant slut.” Best three words to start a Kessel post.

Wow, I thought games against the Leafs was going to be awesome since our good friend, Komisarek, decided to go to T-Dot. Now, it’s even better! Two skating targets.
