Occupy Anything?

When the Occupy movement started in New York this summer, I was actually moved & impressed. I was amped when the protests showed up in cities like Chicago, San Francisco, Toronto and my beloved, Boston. I’ll be honest, I considered volunteering at Boston. I figured, they’re doing the dirty work. So if there was anyway I could help out – I wanted to. Continue reading

Nice hair, Dick!

Now, I know all about the comb over – but what’s it called when you brush your hair completely forward to cover up your receding hair-line?

Could you find a less appealing hairdo?

Time and karma are harsh mistresses, son. If anything, he’s drawing more attention to it and looks worse. Just shave it. It worked for Steve Begin!

The Winter Classic….According to Cameron Frye

This what the money we dropped on Lansdowne Street bought us...

Other than me raspy, tranny like voice – I’m fully recovered from The Winter Classic. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to fully explain how amazing of an experience it was. It’s one thing to watch it on tv, but to be there is another thing.

@Lucichick & I completely lucked out. Yeah, we paid a lot for our tickets(don’t ask) – but our seats were amazing! We pretty much had the perfect view of the rink! I don’t think I would have done it differently. If you saw me after the game or as the people I met up with afterwards can attest to, I was floating! I think that’s the only way to describe how happy I was. I just wish you could have experiences it in person. If you’d like to see the rest of my pictures – go here or go behind the cut to read about my take on the Winter Classic.

Even Animals Skate Better Than Wideman!

Dennis Wideman over the off-season evidently forgot how to skate and has been a bucket of fail lately. He hasn’t been skating with the team during practices this week and he’s evidently suffering from a ‘upper body injury’ according to most reports. So here’s to hoping we see more Johnny Boychuk tonight when #FailKessel and the rest of the Leafs hit the ice tonight.

Now I’m not one to kick a man when he’s down – but I’m a firm believer in a good ribbing. So here’s the start of a new series(which probably won’t last) – Things That Skate Better Than Wideman!

Today’s edition: MONKEYS!

It’s been a summer…so far

So how has your summer vacation been?

And how has your summer vacation been?

So we’re at the half way point for summer and while some of you dealt with heat waves, trips to the beach and traveling to different destinations. I’ve been stuck in Boston working and doing very little writing. And since I have the honor of  being the low man on the totem pole at my ‘real’ job - my vacation isn’t until October. I still don’t know where to go, so recommendation are welcomed. Anyways! Please accept my apology and since the summer is almost over(sorry to be so ‘glass is half empty’.), here’s my Summer of 2009 Half-Way Point Post. WHOOOOOO! Enjoy Continue reading
