Daniel Ryder, lil’brother of Boston Bruin, Micheal Ryder, was arrested yesterday for robbing a convenience store. According to reports, Ryder will be “…charged with armed robbery, using a disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence, using a firearm in the commission of an offence, and theft under $5,000.”
Daniel Ryder was released from the Providence Bruins (Hmmm…I wonder why?) at the end of last season after signing a 25 game tryout contract with them in February of 2009. He was originally drafted by the Calgary Flames in 2005 and won the 2006 Wayne Gretzky 99 MVP during the ’06 Ontario Hockey League Playoffs. Wayne must be proud.
